Description
The oculoplastic specialist nurse role is multifaceted providing insight into several areas of nursing support and care.Patients with oculoplastic related issues sometimes have complex issues that require apathy, physical and mental health support, and input such as wound or peri-operative care.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable individual who will embrace the role and help to provide support for patient group during the secondment.
Some oculoplastic patients require inpatient care on our ward and the specialist nurse will be expected to ensure that they supported along-side the ward nursing team.
We presently have five oculoplastic consultants all of whom have theatres sessions and outpatient clinics, again the oculoplastic specialist nurse will be expected to be involved in these areas of care as well.
