This is an exiting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to work with an established manufacturing business in Ipswich.


The Financial Controller will be responsible for the running of the finance function, working closely with the Managing Director assisting with the financial strategy and stability.

The successful Financial Controller will manage a small team of up to threeheads ensuring the standard of work remains high.


Financial Controller - Ipswich

The role

  • Managing all finance and accounting operations with the assistance of three direct reports
  • Preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Preparing and publishing timely monthly management accounts
  • Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
  • Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
  • Completing VAT returns
  • Preparation of End of Year accounts
  • Preparation of Payroll
  • Offer strong experience in a similar role
  • Previous people management experience
  • Experience with accounting systems is essential and Sage Line 50 would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise own work load
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach
