Portfolio are proud to be working with a Manchester based Youth Charity in their search for a Business Operations Manager.

The Charity opened in September 2020 to provide an engaging and inspiring place for thousands of young people aged up to 25for those with additional needs) to spend their leisure time.

Open 7-nights a week, 52-weeks a year plus school holidays, the Youth Zone's incredible facilities include a 3G pitch, skate park, 30ft climbing wall, boxing/mixed martial arts gym, 4-court sportshall, sensory room, fitness suite, recreation area and dance, arts, music, and media suites and much more.


What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Business Operations Manager to come onboard on a 16-month FTC.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a highly driven and experienced individual to join a prestigious team and play a significant role in providing 'somewhere togo, someone to talk to and something to do' for thousands of children and young people.


The role:


As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will effectively manage the back-office functions of the charity including HR & recruitment, administration, finance, facilities, catering, as well as working closely with the charity's CEO and Board ofTrustees.

The role is offered on a fixed-term basis (16-months) to cover maternity leave.


About you:


  • Experience in managing operations, systems, administration, and people.
  • Proven experience of managing operational budgets and finance processes/functions with the ability to produce monthly payroll and financial data.
  • The ability to establish a rapport and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, with firstclass communication and interpersonal skills.
  • To be passionate about the aims and mission of the Charity and demonstrate a clear commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • HR knowledge/experience desirable
