Cleaner - Facilities Management - Filton, Bristol
My client is one of the UK's leading maintenance service providers, currently seeking 4 Cleaners (Industrial or general) to cover operations across an estate of commercial buildings, ranging from Grade 1 Heritage Buildings to Brand new facilities, joining a modern and forward thinking business operating throughout Bristol.
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various settings, including offices, commercial buildings, residential properties, and public spaces.
Your role is essential in creating a safe and pleasant environment for occupants and visitors by ensuring that surfaces, facilities, and amenities are kept clean and sanitized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces. Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, common areas, and other designated spaces according to established procedures.
- Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and other waste materials in designated receptacles. Ensure that waste is handled and disposed of properly in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Surface Maintenance: Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents and tools. Polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings to maintain their appearance and prolong their lifespan.
- Floor Care: Clean and maintain various types of flooring, including carpet, hardwood, tile, and laminate. Use floor cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and polishers to achieve optimal results.

Replenishing Supplies:
Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment inventory levels and replenish as needed. Ensure that adequate quantities of cleaning agents, paper products, and other supplies are available for use.
- Reporting and Communication: Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to the appropriate authorities or supervisors promptly. Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient cleaning operations.
- Adherence to
Safety Standards:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and exposure to hazardous substances. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and adhere to safety guidelines at all times.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Be willing to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and cleaning requirements based on the needs of the facility or property. Demonstrate flexibility in tasks and schedules to accommodate special events or emergencies.

- Government Minimum Wage Hourly Rate
- 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays
