    Description

    Our client is a large international corporation involved in the development and provision of mattresses. You would probably find them represented in most countries in the world. Their product carry a mark of excellence that no other in the sector has been able to aspire to. Currently their IT team have recently upgraded 18 of its subsidiaries on Microsoft D365. The project is all encompassing, spanning over several years and is transforming the way the international organisation works.

    As part of this project, there is a continuation roadmap of further implementations. The Junior EDI Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes and systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data exchange between business partners, vendors, and internal systems. The Junior EDI Analyst will contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of electronic data transactions while gaining exposure to various aspects of EDI operations.

    You will work with:

    • International ERP Team,
    • Key business users
    • Trading partners
    • Support partners
    • Infrastructure team
    • Supply chain and operations team

    Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Key Results Area:

    • Assist in the setup, testing, and maintenance of EDI processes and workflows
    • Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions to ensure timely and accurate data exchange.
    • Collaborate with IT and business teams to analyse, map, and translate data between different EDI formats and systems.
    • Participate in the onboarding process of new trading partners, ensuring compliance with EDI standards and requirements.
    • Identify and resolve issues related to data mapping, translation errors, and data integrity.
    • Document EDI processes, guidelines, and best practices for future reference.
    • Provide support for EDI-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Assist in EDI system upgrades and enhancements, contributing to the continuous improvement of
    • EDI operations.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in EDI standards and technologies.

    To succeed in the role you will need:

    • EDI Technical Skills and Experience
    • A basic understanding of data mapping and transformation processes.
    • Familiarity with D365 FO or any other ERP.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues.
    • To be fluent in English. Any other European language will be a plus
    • Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) concepts, standards (e.g. EDIFACT, Tradacom, XML, ANSI X12), and Communication protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP, VAN)
    • A basic knowledge of SQL and data entities
    • Familiarity with integration concepts and programming skills are a plus
    • Knowledge about how APIs work Personal Skills
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • To a good communicator, with an ability to explain complex concepts in easy to understand and compelling ways.
    • The ability to deliver under tight and changing deadlines
    • Good document writing skills.
    • Ability to thrive in an international, multicultural organization Qualifications:
    • A bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field. Work

    Environment/Physical Requirements:

    • Office based in Uxbridge, London, with great access to public transport or provided parking. Applicants must hold a right to work in the UK, and be UK based.
    • Hybrid working at least 3 days per week in the office and flexibility to attend the office as and when required during working hours.
    • Travel Occasional International travel is required.
