    Contract Senior Project Manager - CIPS Upgrade

    Rate - £ inside IR35 Dependant on Experience

    Our client are leading the way in energy delivery, and are looking for experienced Senior Project Managers on a contract basis.

    We are seeking an experienced Contract Senior Project Manager to spearhead the upgrade of our clients CIPS (Contractor Invoice Payment System) application. This critical role involves managing the enhancement and interface of the payment system for contractors, ensuring seamless integration with BORIS (Back Office Reporting and Information System). Candidate must have solid experience in Administration and have a strong background in Application Project Management.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the end-to-end upgrade of the CIPS application, overseeing all project phases from initiation to implementation and post-launch support.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, stakeholders, and third-party vendors, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
    • oversee a period of system analysis. To line up business resources - strong admin experience critical.
    • To handle the recruitment and tracking of a number of roles within IT & across the business, looking for training partners, ensure training is undertaken – so lots of admin experience but who knows how to handle personal information regarding salaries and training records.
    • Conduct thorough assessments of the current CIPS system, identifying areas for improvement and strategizing upgrade plans aligned with organizational goals.
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance.
    • Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
    • Utilize your application-based project management expertise, especially within financial and back-office environments, to drive successful outcomes and seamless system integrations.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Project Manager leading application-based projects, preferably in financial or back-office systems.
    • Strong understanding of payment systems and experience with contractor payment processes is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to deliver projects within scope, on time, and within budget.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of fostering collaboration and maintaining transparency across teams.
    • Ability to analyze complex systems, identify areas for enhancement, and develop comprehensive upgrade strategies.
    • Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) and a Bachelor's degree in a related field are advantageous.
    • Utilities experience desirable but not mandatory
    • Oracle experience desirable but not mandatory
