    This is an exciting time to join autism charity Prior's Court as we develop a newly created In House Recruitment team. Working for the Recruitment Manager, as part of a small collaborative team of two recruiters, you will be playing a pivotal role as a true business partner. Developing relationships with the stakeholders you support and sourcing the best talent for the roles we require, you will work collaboratively with all hirers, which includes an autism specialist school and residential care at our beautiful site based just outside Newbury.

  • Based onsite at Priors Court Road, Hermitage with an element of remote working if required.
  • Previous experience in a 360 recruitment role either in in house or a recruitment agency setting.
  • This role will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment and selection process. Taking ownership for the full recruitment lifecycle, including attraction, pre-interview screening, testing and assessment and providing an initial screening for all candidate applications ensuring that the identified essential criteria are met in accordance with legislative requirements.

    We are looking for someone who will leave no stone unturned to find the right candidate – if you rely on advertising, and sourcing with talent pipelining left as a last resort, then this role won't be right for you. Our sector is tough.     This role will include activities such as -

  • Liaising with Hiring Managers to understand vacancy requirements and utilise your expertise to recommend the appropriate approach to fill.
  • Developing a creative, yet commercial mix of sourcing methods to create a rich pipeline of talented individuals within the main areas of expertise in which we work
  • Creating effective and eye-catching job advertisements, and ensuring innovative and cost effective methods are used
  • Building relationships with local schools, colleges, Universities, and Job Centres, and also booking and attending recruitment events.
  • Providing coaching and support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle. Discussing interview dates/ shortlisting deadlines/criteria and agreeing the process for each vacancy
  • Maintaining contact with candidates throughout the hiring process to minimise the risk of candidates withdrawing their application, as well as offering support prior to start.
  • Managing the interview process, coordinating both telephone and in person interviews with the Hiring Managers, which you may also be required to attend.
  • Working closely with Pre boarding & onboarding to ensure candidate checks are in place and all hires are compliant with Prior's Court obligations to Ofsted and CQC.
  • We would be interested in talking to you if you have the following skills, experience and attributes -

  • End to end recruitment – you will have experience of the whole 360 recruitment process, ideally within the care or education sectors, although this is not essential. You could have honed your experience within an in house or agency team.
  • Sourcing experience, utilising creative methods of attraction and job boards, alongside building relationships with passive talent.
  • Business Partner mindset – you will be customer focused, have a consultative approach and want to immerse yourself in Priors Court, gaining an indepth understanding of the roles you will recruit for. It goes without saying that you will have a strong follow up and a drive for results.
  • A strong willingness to learn , collaborate and build authentic relationships with a diverse audience.
  • High levels of organisation to maintain the applicant tracking system and be able to deliver feedback effectively to both hiring managers and candidates
  • Strong customer service skills , as you will be the first point of contact candidates will have with Prior's Court, so a good first impression is essential
  • First class time management skills with the proven ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • A good working knowledge of IT packages (MS Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • It would be highly desirable for you to have -

  • Experience of within the Care or Education sectors
  • Knowledge of legislation and compliance around recruiting into education and care sectors

  • Prior's Court was set up by Founding Patron Dame Stephanie Shirley, whose vision of a centre of excellence for children with autism became reality with the opening of Prior's Court School in 1999. We have since grown to support around 90 young people with complex autism aged between 5-25 years.

    Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a cutting edge educational, vocational, and residential facility for young people with autism.

    Qualifications

    A recruitment or HR qualification would be ideal but is not as essential as the right work history and experience in providing outstanding recruitment service to the stakeholders you support.
