    Job summary

    We are delighted to be able to offer a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well-integrated team. This trust doctor post in Anaesthesia and ITU is available from August 2024 for 12 months.

    Main duties of the job

    The successful candidate will work on our on-call rotas covering CEPOD and Intensive care and there will be an opportunity to work in all areas of clinical anaesthesia during this post.

    The duties of the post meet the requirements of the CT2 Equivalent posts as detailed by the Royal College of Anaesthetists. The 2021 RCoA Anaesthetics curriculum will be followed. The duties will include pre, peri and post-operative management of surgical patients, assisting with care of the patients on the ICU, and provision of assistance with resuscitation calls.

    This post will offer training opportunities as per the Royal College of Anaesthetists training guidance, including obtaining the Initial Assessment of Competence and a 3-month ITU attachment.

    Experience/ Qualifications

    Essential

  • oBasic medical degree
  • oCompleted at least two years Foundation training at FY1 and FY2 level in a relevant training programme
  • oFull GMC Registration with a licence to practice
  • oAdvanced Life Support Certificate from the Resuscitation Council UK or equivalent
  • Desirable

  • o3 months experience in ITU / Anaesthetics in the UK
  • Clinical Skills and Experience
