Support Assistant

Aldam House, Goole

£10.97

30 hours per week - shifts covering 7 days between 9 am - 10 pm

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Assistant. Located in the centre of Goole, Aldam House and Cottage has 10 fully-furnished bedrooms.

We provide personal care and support for adults aged 18 and over, with a range of mental health needs, providing accommodation and registered care.

The role of Bank Support Assistant will include:

  • Providing a high quality, hands on and personalised care and support service
  • Supporting residents to develop their daily living skills including cooking, cleaning, shopping and being an active part of the community
  • Maintaining a safe environment for residents, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices
  • Supporting residents to build the confidence they need to gain further independence
  • Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our residents

Skills and experiences:


  • Experience of working with vulnerable people is advantageous
  • NVQ2 in Health & Social Care or Care Certificate is essential
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload, calling upon your strong organisational skills
  • Good listening skills and the ability to solve problems, allowing you to form positive relationships with people
  • A positive 'cando' attitude and a willingness to persevere through challenging situations
