Petrofac is currently looking to recruit a Instrument Team Lead on a permanent basis located on the Anasuria FPSO working on a 2/3 rotation.

The Anasuria FPSO is owned and operated by Anasuria Operating Company for processing oil and gas from the Teal, Teal South Guillemot A and Cook fields

JOB TITLE:
INSTRUMENT TEAM LEAD


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • The role of the Instrument Team Lead on Anasuria is to lead the Instrument & Metering technicians in the operation and maintenance of all Instrumentation & Control Systems
  • The individual reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and will work closely with the Operations Team Leader (OTL). The role is anticipated to include 30% 'tool time' activities.
  • Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac's Life Saving Rules.
  • Participation in the annual performance review process, completing meaningful scorecards through SMART objectives and completing reviews in line with the company driven timeframe.
  • Coordinate the activities of the Instrument and Metering Technicians.
  • Planning of tasks in Maximo / managing backlog / materials / and liaising with other departments Ensuring all work history is accurately captured within Maximo.
  • Be involved in the 28day planning process making sure that Vendor scopes are ready to commence on arrival (Equipment/Materials/Access/Perimetry).


  • Vendor management

  • Ensure all discipline vendor scopes are completed safely and on time Acting on feedback in vendor reports in consultation with the onshore Instrument engineer.
  • Coach and train technicians within the department Progressing new start instrument technicians to CIP level Ensure all technicians maintain their competence Carry out Skills VX Assurance Assessments
  • Act as Platform Software Custodian responsible for ensuring any software changes are carried out to Petrofac standards and up to date backups are held on board.
  • ICP Focal point as tasked by the Maintenance Supervisor Make sure verification testing is organized such that the resource and perimetry is available at the agreed time.
  • Maintain instrumentation controlling the offshore process and utility systems, fire & gas protection / detection & emergency shutdown systems in a safe and effective manner.
  • Ensure fiscal metering duties and Planned Maintenance Routines (PMRs) are completed as required by metering technicians.
  • Work with other disciplines to ensure all PMs are aligned such that only one outage will be required encompassing all planned activities for the period.
  • Provide clear and descriptive handover to oncoming backtoback and maintain comprehensive handover logs.
  • Ensure stock of ready to use instrument spares is maintained and highlight any new items which are required to maintain critical spares stock.
  • Perform an emergency role as defined by the company's emergency response procedures.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


  • A recognized apprenticeship or training scheme
  • HNC/HND qualification
  • Excellent working knowledge within O&G offshore and other relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Selfmotivated and enthusiastic when working as part of a team or on own initiative.
  • Use skills and experience to contribute to problem solving and improvements.
  • Have knowledge and experience of computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo preferable)
  • Have an Emergency Response role and possess valid certification or willingness to train for this role.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to share information / knowledge with other personnel.
