    Purolite, an Ecolab company, the world leader in resin-based separation, purification and extraction technology, is seeking a QA R&D Manager at our state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Llantrisant, Wales

    Purolite is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to create the R&D QMS.

    The Quality Manager, or Quality Assurance Manager, will work on the R&D lifecycle of the product to make sure it has been built with compliance to legal standards and meets compliance with expectations. A great quality manager is thorough and observant with an eye for detail.

    They must fully understand the technical requirements for the product or service and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers as well as the competition.

  • What you'll do:

  • Create and R&D Keys documentation to fit in our current QMS.
  • Develop and manage quality events during the development lifecycle (record and traceability of events occurring) from raw material to the product validation and transfer to routine manufacturing.
  • For a support for NPI, Tech Transfer and process optimisation.
  • Ensure that all new products are fully and correctly embedded into our QMS and that all documentation is in place for new products (from batch records through to BOMs and QC methods etc)
  • Coordinate validation and verification plans and requirements for new products and equipment
  • Add the trending of process data and QC results for new products to our SPC/data tracking processes.
  • Keep the wider quality team up to date and informed on new products and submit detailed reports to appropriate management.
  • Ensure suppliers are qualified and meet criteria of our QMS for any new materials.
  • Be the representative for Quality in NPI meetings and through the Purolite NPI process.
  • Support the process development team directly as they develop the production processes for our next products.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
  • Ensure the R&D specifications for products or processes are reviewed and traceable.
  • Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.
  • Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.
  • Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
  • Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements.
  • Approve the right to go to the validation step and well as for the products transfer.
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.
  • Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met.
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.
  • Work alongside R&D, NPIs and Process optimisation to ensure process are consistent and reliable.

  • Proven experience as Quality Manager
  • Conscientious and responsible
  • A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
  • Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field
