Procurement Specialist

Location - Glasgow

Duration - 6 month FTC

Salary - c£45,000
Queens Cross Housing Association is a community based housing association with a vision for excellent housing in vibrant communities.

They are driven by their values of respect, integrity and aspiration as they provide nearly 4,500 homes in an area that stretches north from Glasgow city centre along either side of the Forth and Clyde Canal.


In this role, the Procurement Specialist will bring procurement expertise to the Property Services team, implementing necessary procedures and training that will build the capacity of the team.

You will be responsible for establishing purchasing procedures required to fulfill the procurement of services and goods which will enable the team to provide high-quality services to their customers while securing value for money.

You will build strong relationship and serve as the point of contact between suppliers and QCHA.

You will analyse the costs of various tenders to ensure that the Association secures a balance between quality and value for money and you will support the implementation of contract administration, cost controls and delivery arrangements that support the strategic objectives.

The role requires you to be an experienced procurement professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills. You will have exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask. Having a proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation is critical in this role.
