In this newly created role as ER Manager, you will join a successful and established team of specialists.


You will manage the day-to-day relationships with members of the National Consulting Group (NCG), arrange and coordinate regular NCG meetings including pay and other negotiations and consultations, calls and requests for information.

As ER Manager you will proactively manage the relationships with all key stakeholders involved with Northumbrian Water's employee relations. Externally these include Trade Union Officials and Employment Lawyers and their teams.

Internally this includes membersof the ELT, the CEO, elected representatives (Trade Union and other elected reps), line managers and relevant employees with whom they come into contact.


We are seeking someone who has proven Employee Relations experience at a management level and has experience of building positive partnerships with key stakeholders, in particular Trade Unions (Officials and Reps).

It would be great if you can bring experienceof being involved with the development of new ER programmes, evaluating existing ones and enabling innovative learning at all levels.


Your role will be hybrid with 2 days per week spent at the offices in Durham however with multiple NWG sites UK wide, occasional travel may be required.
