Technical Business Development Manager required to join a highly successful, fast growing electronic component distribution company based in the Arundel area.

The company provides franchised distribution, electronic component supply, contract manufacturingand inventory management services to a variety of sectors in the electronics industry.

The role is to drive profitable business growth by promoting and selling the Silicon Motion and C-Media product lines from our franchised distribution solutions.


Technical Business Development ManagerPosition Overview

  • Identifying target accounts, forecasting, developing sales strategies and tactics.
  • Development of key accounts plan, competitive position and strategy to increase market share ensuring management is provided with realistic forecasts and is kept informed of any significant changes in developments.
  • Ensuring the pipeline is filled with opportunities at various stages of sales cycle.
  • Working with customers to design in components from Silicon Motion and CMedia product offering.
  • Reviewing performance against expectations.
  • Regularly reviewing forecasts, pipeline and sales strategies with management.
  • Highlighting sales opportunities early in the sales cycle to ensure these opportunities are appropriately targeted.
  • Using pipelines process to assess and report progress on sales opportunities.
  • Identifying new potential customers through industry and market research.
  • Make regular sales calls to potential new customers in line with KPI's.
  • Managing the quotation and contract review process.
  • Conducting win/ loss review.
  • Ensuring that customer's requirements are clearly defined and met.
  • Cocoordinating efforts with relevant individuals to address nonstandard terms and conditions.
  • Proactively meeting with customers on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Planning and executing on marketing initiatives together with marketing for promotions and advertising.

Technical Business Development ManagerPosition Requirements

  • Experience in sales/ business development within electronic component distribution
  • Knowledge of Memory, Storage or Audio Codec products or both
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed targets
  • Have a good knowledge of a broad range of electronic components
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Good computer skills and ability to analyse and manipulate data in MS excel
  • Willing to contribute to the overall business development and working practices
  • Ability to work to company policies and procedures and work constructively with colleagues
  • A full driving licence
