Well, what about the team?:


We are the Marketing Development team, which means we work closely with our stakeholders in Marketing and Marketing Design to deliver exciting and relevant content to our players.


Our focus is on delivering interactive promotions, engaging mini-games, responsive landing pages and micro-sites; working closely with stakeholders and designers we build the best experiences for our customers and are always looking to push things forward.


So, what will you be doing?:

  • Lead and line manage a team of 9-10 developers and QAs. They're supported by a Product Owner, a Tech Lead, and a Development Manager (who you'll report to)
  • Support the development of individuals through coaching, mentoring, direct feedback and career development.
  • Recruit engineers to build a wellbalanced software engineering team.
  • Provide clarity and progress updates to the team on business objectives and area goals.
  • Manage and communicate progress, risks and dependencies.
  • Coach the team & individuals towards an Agile mindset with a focus on product delivery. You'll draw on your understanding of delivering complex software to help introduce tools & techniques, you are excited about what a DevOps mindset can do for your team.
  • Support the team and PO by liaising with stakeholders, guiding refinement and showing a high degree of understanding of the team's BAU
  • Work as part of the MDD leadership team to create a high performing area and ensure a smooth flow of work.

And what are we looking for?:

  • You have experience of working in a fast-paced agile software engineering environment.
  • You're interested in Marketing and can explain technical information and processes to a people from a nontechnical area.
  • You have some kind of background in software engineering and are opinionated on architecture, development and product management.
  • You're a friendly and enthusiastic individual who can manage team morale and create an environment where people enjoy and take pride in their work.
  • You take great pleasure in helping others succeed through coaching, mentoring and career development.
  • You understand and have experience of the software delivery lifecycle and a focus on high quality products.
  • You're a pragmatic thinker who plans, anticipates issues, considers risk, and helps deliver the best value to the business and customer.
