Description:

Purpose:

  • Understand the needs of our customers to ensure we provide training and learning in ways which works for them in a constantly changing learning environment.
  • Based on this understanding work across the organisation to produce a 12 month rolling product plan.
  • Deliver products in line with this plan and to agreed quality standards, meeting all internal stakeholders needs.
  • Review processes and ways of working to get quality products to market as quickly as possible.

Responsibility:
Planning

  • Through internal stakeholder discussions understand the needs of our customers and regulators to ensure we have an optimal plan for development.
  • Manage the plan through regular feedback with internal stakeholders and the product development team. Flexing the plan as required based on business priorities.
Development

  • Ensure that each development activity has a clearly articulated but concise plan
  • Ensure that the product development teams mange the development process in line with agreed individual product plans
  • All core products are reviewed in a twoyear time frame and any redundant products removed
Product quality

  • Products developed in line with our quality standard
  • All qualifications are developed in line with regulators expectations

Management of team:
Based on the individual needs of team members, ensure that all team members are adequately


supported to ensure they:

  • Understand their roles
  • Understand the objectives
  • Deliver on time and to approved quality criteria
  • Accept, learn and develop from their mistakes

Experience:

Essential

  • Experience of project management
  • Experience of successful project delivery through commissioning external contractors
  • Experience of designing training, qualifications and assessments
  • Experience of working to budgets and targets
  • Experience of managing key stakeholders
  • Experience of effectively managing a team

Knowledge and Skills:
Essential

  • Knowledge of the UK qualification regulation systems
  • Knowledge of UK training and education structures
  • Understanding of training and qualification design and assessment methodology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Strong networking skills
