    Are you an experienced and dedicated Senior Nurse looking for a new opportunity to make a difference in the field of Adult Social Care? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Senior Nurse to join our dynamic team, reporting to the Registered Manager, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care and support to our service users.

    As a Senior Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the management and supervision of the nursing team at Birchwood Care Home offices. You will be responsible for ensuring the provision of person-centred care, conducting assessments, developing care plans, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for our residents. Your clinical expertise and leadership skills will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of care and driving continuous improvement.

    To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Registered Nurse qualification (RGN/RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
  • Proven experience in a similar senior nursing role, ideally within a social care setting
  • Excellent clinical knowledge and the ability to provide expert advice and guidance
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling positive engagement with service users, their families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Sound understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice in adult social care
