Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is seeking a Fabrication Coordinator with experience in the Oil & Gas Industry for Offshore & Onshore Assets.

Process Ownership:


  • Demonstrate knowledge of company processes and systems.
  • Be compliant with company procedures and client codes and standards
  • Display awareness of project management system requirements.
  • Accountable for the (applicable) fabrication deliverables to the required technical standards.
  • To contribute discipline experience to the ongoing development of project work methods, processes and team development.
  • Liaise closely with the relevant disciplines to ensure all fabrication deliverables are available to ship as per the specified gate criteria.
  • Ensure effective control of fabrication deliverables.
  • If identified, react to change in scope, inform necessary parties and complete in line with the relevant processes.
  • Participate in audits and incident investigations as required.
  • Continuous involvement with project management, engineering, quality & planning.
  • To support and provide inspection release activities.

Subject Matter Expertise:


  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of technical specifications within your area of expertise.
  • Demonstrate Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) leadership in line with company expectations.
  • Have a good technical knowledge of construction discipline and associated processes.
  • Ability to identify risk to delivery and build in mitigation / contingency plans.
  • Provide intel on fabricators capacity and competency to execute specific scopes.
  • Assist with compiling schedule of rates, bid lists and developing fabrication procurement strategies

Skills / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Fabrication & Welding Engineer qualified to HNC/HND level.
  • CWIP 3.2.2 Senior Welding Inspector (including Radiographic Interpretation)

Minimum Experience:


  • Relevant fabrication coordination and inspection experience.
  • Oil and gas experience.
  • Exposure to working within a technical environment.

Role-Specific Skills:


  • To be working aligned to Wood Core Values and a strong P&M team member integrating with Wood Engineering, Construction, QA, Project Management and liaising with Fabricators, Third Party Inspectors & Warehouse
  • Strong commercial awareness with good experience and knowledge gained associated to the Fabrication market
  • Ability to gauge market conditions using intelligence gained from preferred Fabrication Contractors
  • Ability to determine the scope of work based on Drawings and BOM's issued by the Wood Engineer
  • To monitor the ongoing fabrication at the approved fabricators in line with the fabrication status report delivery dates, ensuring that the pla
