Salary:
G7 £31,364 - £35,745 per annum plus 5% unsocial hours payment


Contract:
Full time, permanent


We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Arts Officer to provide a comprehensive technical arts support service to the stakeholders, customers and clients of Walsall Arena & Arts Centre and Walsall Music Education Hub.


As someone who has the confidence and motivation to work on your own initiative to build on the success of the Arena, you will also work as part of a team, be a problem solver and have excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.

Your role will include;
- sharing your experience and knowledge of the industry;
- leading on the technical delivery of sound, lighting and video for our live events;
- acting as the main point of contact for liaison with artists and visiting companies in respect of technical arts support delivery and requirements;
- ensuring all technical arts equipment is fit for purpose, correctly stored, maintained, tested and used safely/appropriately; and
- ensuring appropriately trained and competent technical arts support staff and equipment are provided for events as required.

For this role, you will need:

  • Degree level or equivalent in Technical Arts/Technical Theatre Studies
  • Experience of working in an Arts or similar complex environment
