    Social Workers (Adult Social Care) (4 positions) - Ref: SS01124

    Grade G9; Salary:
    £38,223 - £43, 421 per annum

    An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Adult Safeguarding Hub.


    We are looking for social workers who have completed the ASYE program and hold some post qualifying experience in Adult Social work.

    Generous starting salary starting from £38,223 per annum for experienced social workers

    Payment of Social Work England Professional Fees

    28 days paid annual holiday (pro-rata for part time staff) in addition to Bank Holidays. This goes up to 33 days when you have worked with us for 5 years

    Supervision


    It is essential that as frontline practitioners in Adult Social Care you have time and space to reflect on and examine the work you do with adults, families and carers, to think through the work itself and your practice and the way this affects you.

    Our commitment to you is that all frontline practitioners will receive monthly supervision. We seek to support staff to achieve a work-life balance. We know practice is fast-paced and challenging therefore we want to do everything we can to support you: -

    Main Responsibilities of role


    To work as a social worker to ensure that Adult Safeguarding concerns are screened and risk assessed, in order to reach decisions on safeguarding thresholds and to ensure that the overall principles of the Care Act 2014 are followed.


    To work within a strength based and risk enabled approach to achieve good, safe and person-centred outcomes for vulnerable adults with care and support needs, who may be at risk of harm or abuse.

    To work with partner agencies to proportionately information share and manage adult safeguarding, keeping robust and timely records.

    To provide an immediate and timely response to effectively manage safeguarding which may include visiting locations within the Borough

    The ideal candidate

    You must be a registered social worker with:


    A good knowledge of safeguarding legislation and guidance, including the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other related legislation.

    A good knowledge of adult social care and adult safeguarding procedures


    A passion and commitment to working with colleagues, professionals and other agencies to achieve the best possible outcome relating to allegations of adults being at risk, or experiencing various forms of abuse.


    The ability to demonstrate competence, knowledge, experience and the ability as social worker in relation to adult safeguarding, as outlined in the attached job description and person specification.
