is looking for freelance secondary / prep-school English teachers to provide 11+/13+/iGCSE tuition to international students preparing for entry into the British education system.

The majority of our classes are either one-to-one or small groups of up to 5 students, Monday - Saturday between 9am - 2pm.

Hours are flexible, with the freedom to arrange classes around your availability.

We can offer highly competitive rates (per hour class), beginning at £40 per hour for QTS secondary school teachers (or equivalent independent sector experience), rising with experience and qualifications (see below).

Responsibilities

Delivering high-quality and effective online lessons to meet the needs of the students in each class, in adherence with the relevant syllabi, schemes of work and lesson materials provided by UK Teachers Ltd.

Setting weekly homework tasks and providing brief written feedback.
Administering and marking termly summative assessments, set by UK Teachers Ltd.
Guaranteeing the high connection speed of your home internet to ensure classes are uninterrupted by poor connectivity.

Qualifications


Essential:
~ Bachelor's degree level qualification
~5 years+ experience teaching English in a secondary school / prep-school setting
~ Experience teaching online using Zoom or Microsoft Teams
~ QTS status
~ Ability to provide a clear DBS check


Preferable:
Experience working in independent schools
Experience in marking relevant examinations
