We're seeking an enthusiastic, passionate Community Engagement Officer for an unmissable opportunity to join a growing team You will support the creation and delivery of our business-wide community, charitable and volunteering programmes.
This role will be essential in engaging, empowering and educating our colleagues customers and suppliers on all thing's community and social impact.
The role has a unique opportunity to drum up support with external and internal customers, manage various forms of content and deliver engaging events.
You will help build the calendar of community and volunteering activities each year.You will also support the Communications Team in telling our internal community success stories, inspiring more our NHS SBS colleagues to fundraise and volunteer.
This hybrid role can be based in and around the Greater London or Greater Manchester areas to allow for occasionally working out of one of offices.
What you'll be doing:
- Create programmes that can support wider NHS SBS awards and Great Place to Work engagement
- Creating and delivering partnerships with charity partners across the UK for fundraising, volunteering, and social projects
- Driving engagement to ensure uptake in volunteering days and charitable giving, to support charities and community projects in the healthcare space
- Support wider initiatives such as diversity and inclusion and wellbeing, aligning them to our Sustainability programme and driving uptake
- Provide regular reporting on engagement and the impact that community programmes are having
- Stay on top of sustainability and community awareness days, events, and trends to create campaigns to support them
What you'll bring:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Word, PowerPoint, Teams
- Experience in charity or community projects or engagement with charities (could be volunteering locally or having worked for a charity/community project)
It would be great if you had:
- Experienced writer to effectively communicate a narrative to a range of people
- A-Level or Postgraduate qualifications in relevant social topics (eg. social studies, sociology, political science etc)
