- Install and maintain all electrical & electro-mechanical plant equipment or machinery
- Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system
- Carry out fault finding and repairs
- Program Siemens & other programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Utilize various testing equipment to locate and remedy faults
- Enhance Lean thinking
- Respond to breakdowns
- Contribute to safe systems of work (SSOW) documentation
- Follow Wienerberger's quality system & standards in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001
- Electrically biased engineer with manufacturing/factory environment experience and a minimum level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Commitment to safety and strong experience in health and safety best practices
- Enjoy working in a busy environment and being hands-on
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain factory efficiency
- Physically fit to perform the duties
- Experience and knowledge of PLCs (programmable logic controllers)
- Diagnostic experience of electrical motors and pneumatics
- Strong team-playing skills and good communication
- Good understanding of environment, health, and safety (EHS) processes
- Analytical & problem-solving skills
- Completed a hands-on apprentice training program
- 17th / 18th edition qualified (training could be provided)
- HNC or HND qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience in heavy industry manufacturing
- Annual salary approximately £48,000 paid weekly (inclusive of bonuses and allowances)

Join our Broomfleet factory, a specialist in manufacturing products for the building/construction industry. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll work with the inhouse team to ensure the plant and equipment operate smoothly.
This role is internally known as a Maintenance Electrician.
From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM), you'll be hands-on with specialized machinery, using your problem-solving skills and technical expertise daily.
Contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our production processes.
Enjoy a varied and dynamic role where you will utilize a range of electrical skills associated with being an electrician and service engineer.
Key responsibilities:
Receive full training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure safe and effective work practices.
Working Hours: 7.00am – 7.00pm (2 days) and 7.00pm to 7.00am (2 nights) on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
