  • We are looking to recruit a non-teaching motivated, committed and knowledgeable SENCo to join our friendly, inclusive school. The post is part-time for 1 day a week.

    We are looking for someone who is passionately committed to promoting inclusive education, who can ensure that all our pupils have access to the whole curriculum and have their individual needs met.

    We are looking for a SENCo who will:

  • oversee the day-to-day operation of the school's SEN policy
  • coordinate provision for children with SEN
  • support staff in understanding the needs of SEND pupils, through CPD and monitoring
  • liaise with parents/carers of pupils with SEN
  • have commitment and determination to champion our children to meet their potential.
  • You will need:

  • a National SENDCo Award or be working towards one
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • strong behaviour and management skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
  • excellent subject knowledge
  • a good understanding of SEND Code of practice
  • a good understanding of the national curriculum in all phases.
