    Role responsibilities

  • Deliver an effective, efficient and progressive procurement function for the TfW organisation by leading a team of subject matter experts, continuously improving the quality and timeliness of outputs and ensuring that effective procurement services are delivered for the organisation.
  • Develop a highly skilled contract and commercial management function for the TfW organisation by leading a team of subject matter experts and ensuring that early signs of contractual issues are identified and resolved effectively.
  • Develop a collaborative supply chain network to ensure TfW's delivery partners and their supply chain are engaged, managed, and developed to meet current and future organisational requirements.
  • Lead the ongoing development of an agile department, capable of meeting the needs and requirements of the wider TfW organisation by providing effective leadership and adapting the department to ensure the supply chain, procurement and commercial disciplines are fit for purpose.
  • Who we're looking for

  • Member of RICS, ICM, CIPS or significant equivalent experience.
  • Expert knowledge of commercial management disciplines preferably gained in major infrastructure management and construction industry.
  • Demonstrable understanding of sustainable supply chain / contract management.
  • Experience of developing and continuously improving the performance of an effective supply chain, procurement and commercial function.
  • Experience of managing significant contractual disputes and using standard forms of dispute resolution to deliver a successful conclusion.
  • Welsh Language Skills

    The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
