    Technical Lead | Polyglot

    Reading - hybrid

    Tech stack: Node, React, TypeScript, Perl, Microservices, AWS/GCP

    Are you an experienced Architect, Principal or Senior Software Engineer with multi-language experience across a range of technologies and looking for an individual contributor role within a Enterprise cloud platform environment?

    Are you looking for more autonomy in an environment, where you can resolve complexed challenges?

    We are working with a global Trading Platform company, since moving to the UK they've shown exciting growth and are continuing to expand the team.

    They have an experienced and highly technical team from varied backgrounds. The specific software language you have experience with is not a priority here, they look for adaptable, 'polyglot Engineers' and see the language as a tool to solve the problem

    If you share a similar mindset and want to work with likeminded people in an enterprise, customer platform and cloud environment then this could be for you.

    You will be tackling monolith to microservices challenges, driving release efficiencies and building new products driving core product transformation.

    A Technical Lead will have:

    • Minimum 10+ years commercial experience
    • Design and architecture experience
    • Tech stack: Node, React, TypeScript, Perl. - you should apply if you have experience in other languages
    • Experience in cloud technologies including AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform
    • You will have experience working on large enterprise platforms, resolving production issues

    Key responsibilities for a Technical Lead:

    • Acting as technical authority within the team, contributing to architecture/design
    • Responsible for mentoring junior members and conducting code reviews
    • Resolving complexed software challenges for their production environments
    • Be able to communicate at different levels, and be collaborative, with a 'can do' solutions mindset

    They are looking for people who want to collaborate, whiteboard, brainstorm face to face and require you to have a willingness to work in the office twice a week on average.

    The salary is ranging from £80,000 - £100,000 per annum with an annual bonus equating to upwards of £15k (total package: £95k-£130k).
