Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking an E-Commerce Manager on behalf of their client based in Brauton, North Devon.

In this role you will play a key part within the business, developing and supporting the overall vision, strategy, and capacity needed for short and long-term e-commerce sales growth goals.

You will be helping our client by evaluating and recommending initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and expansion of customer engagement and revenue using data driven insights.

You will support the Head of Business Technology and work with theMarketing Team and Web Developer to optimise the multiple websites and their related digital touch points.


Main purpose of the role:

  • Using website analytics to monitor key metrics and make recommendations for improvement and increase the conversion rate
  • Working with the relevant departments to suggest and implement A/B testing, including measuring and presenting the results
  • Responsible for ensuring our sites are merchandised to maximise sales
  • Analysing and merchandising any touch points and customer journey flows relating to ecommerce
  • Analysing shopping trends and behaviours and reporting to relevant teams with statistics to improve services across the board
  • Analysing the website data to present the performance of marketing activities
  • Refine and test ongoing website development projects, working with the team to gather missing product data
  • Enhancing our product content, particularly around descriptions, imagery and videos to increase conversions on the website and ensuring the content is correct and up to date across all sites (UK, US, EU, DE and B2B)
  • Working with the relevant teams to ensure all products are added to the website in a timely manner, including product attributes, images and specifications to meet the site standards
  • Working in collaboration with the marketing team to create a merchandising calendar for each of the websites and related digital touch points
  • Identifying promotional/marketing opportunities for digital channels and evaluating the traffic, stock and sales implications of the proposed activity
  • Planning the effectiveness of marketing activities against new products and suggesting the execution of the storefront, including on-site, marketing placements and messaging
  • Making recommendation to optimise customer journeys, from daily site walks and data analysis
  • Management of the product portfolio and on-site product placement, ensuring consistency is used across search-terms and filters

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, advanced communication and presenting capabilities
  • At least 3 years' experience in this role or similar relevant field
  • Commercially minded, practical and demonstrate good judgement
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of using web analytics

Job description:

  • Able to demonstrate good coordination and future planning
  • Experience analysing and reporting on performance metrics (e.g. ROAS)
  • A good understanding of digital marketing channels (e.g. PPC, SEO)
  • Knowledge of website best practices and customer journey (e.g. UX & UI)
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google software including formulas, lookups and data validation
  • Good working knowledge of Google analytics
  • Experience of using web platforms for content management

Working arrangements:
Office-based, however after initial induction and training to the company we would consider hybrid working. Our office is based in Braunton, North Devon.
Full-time, Monday to Thursday, 9am-5pm and Friday, 8:30am-4pm.
