Senior Policy Advisor - London, United Kingdom - Serious Fraud Office

The Senior Policy Advisor will report to the Band B/G7 Deputy Head of Policy.This role is part of the Band A/G6-led Policy and Engagement team which sits within the SFO's Strategy Group (SG).
Strategy Group is responsible for the full range of strategy development and implementation for the SFO, including strategy planning, governance, victim and witness care, project management and internal and external communication.
The policy team are responsible for ensuring that the SFO has robust, evidence-based positions to influence the legislative and policy agenda that impacts our workThis requires:
- Building strong relationships within the SFO to support the development of policy positions on key issues,
- Collaborating with law enforcement and Government policy teams to ensure SFO views are wellrepresented in live policy discussions, and
- Identifying new policy areas which could improve the SFO's operational delivery while also supporting the Government to deliver their policy agenda.
- There is currently legislation passing through Parliament to strengthen the SFO's investigative powers,
- The same legislation includes a new corporate offence, called 'failure to prevent fraud', and
- The second Economic Crime Plan commits to exploring reform of the criminal disclosure regime.
Salary:
£37,514.00-£42,647.00 per year
