What you'll be doing:


The Statutory Compliance Specialist will be someone who can facilitate offshore regulatory compliance to foster the growth and maturity of an organization while maintaining an excellent ethical reputation.

They will assure that legal and consenting requirements, further specific regulations as well as technical standards are adhered to both in projects and site operations.

The Statutory Compliance Specialist will develop and enact offshore regulatory compliance strategies. From interviews with directors, managers and employees they will determine compliance-related priorities.


Furthermore, The Statutory Compliance Specialist will work with compliance database developers to ensure best fit-for-purpose design of systems and build up and maintain the legal registers/compliance tools to the H&S legal and technical standards required.

They will ensure via compliance audits and monitoring of the legal register that offshore projects under Construction or O&M comply with H&S legal, consenting and technical requirements.


The Statutory Compliance Specialist will support in-country Compliance Managers representing Iberdrola in interactions with H&S regulators/authorities and ensure the company's interests are well represented and always represent Iberdrola ́s Offshore Business.


What you'll bring:


  • Must have an eye for detail and 'very accurate work approach'
  • Previous experience in an structural/civil/mechanical engineering work context
- alternatively a background in Regulatory, H&S, Environmetal or maritime law or similar would also be acceptable

  • Has sound knowledge of H&S law and legislation, offshore wind consenting requirements as well as ISO Standards 9001, 14001, 45001 and 5000
  • Is able to read and interpret drawings
  • Advanced knowledge in producing and driving procedural documents
  • Hold presentations using technologies.
  • Fluent in English. Spanish, German or French is a plus
  • Applications of international technical standards, such as 'International Electro technical Commission' (IEC), etc.
  • Autonomy and ability to make and manage decisions on his/her own
