Lusona is recruiting for an experienced credit controller to work with our client in Kirkcaldy.

You will be part of a small, friendly team of 4 people and have the responsibility for credit control for the firm, managing customer accounts, and ensuring paymentsare received when due.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately allocating customer's payments and reconciliation
  • Manage all credit control duties monitoring reports, aged debt reports, and unallocated cash
  • Following sales ledger procedures to ensure best practice and ensuring that credit insurance policy requirements are met
  • Processing contras and journals when required
  • Updating comments on aged debt reports
  • Reviewing and responding to credit safe alerts
  • Safeguarding the company's exposure to bad debts
  • Manage customer ledger and ensure payments are received when due if not follow up queries in a timely manner keeping in contact with the client to ensure invoices are paid
  • Resolving any queries regarding late invoices
  • Process/allocate online banking transactions
  • Set up new customer accounts
  • Release held orders on a timely basis and in accordance with local procedures
  • Complete credit checks to set up new customer and existing customer credit limits
  • Regular monitoring of customer credit limits
  • Update the sales ledger instruction manuals as required
  • Keep stringent inhouse audit records
This is a full-time position that will be office based with onsite parking. Hours of work are pm with half an hour for a morning break and 1 hour for lunch. The office closes at 3 pm on a Friday.
