Hardware Specialist- UK - Hybrid - £90,000-£120,000 (DOE)

My client, a leading technology firm at the forefront of innovation, is seeking a top-tier Senior Embedded Security Consultant to join their dynamic team. As a third-party recruiter, we're on the lookout for passionate individuals ready to safeguard next-generation embedded systems.

This role will involve:

• Develop and implement robust security solutions for embedded systems.
• Conduct thorough security assessments and risk analyses.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices to clients and internal teams.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats and industry trends to enhance security measures.
• nvestigate possible logical attack scenarios by interpreting the code review findings, orienting the attack paths, and analyzing the test results
• Develop sophisticated, state-of-the-art attacks that integrate the latest attack methods against embedded products
• Create tools to assist in project goals

To be considered for the role you must have:

• Ability to connect and use JTAG/Onchip Debuggers
• Soldering skills to remove flash chips and solder on test leads
• Reverse Engineering, specifically Firmware
• Knowledge of ARM and other embedded microprocessors
• Knowledge of Linux and other embedded OSs
• Proficient in at least one mainstream programming language (Java, .NET, C or C++)
• Hardware/embedded system hacking
• Reverse engineering and source code review experience
• Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing experience
• Ability to work independently under deadline
• Rigorous attention to detail and strong analytic skills
