    Data Warehouse Architect

    Company Overview:
    We are in search of a dynamic Data Warehouse Architect to join our esteemed data engineering department.

    This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and enhance our data warehouse, catering to a range of projects from large-scale business transformative programmes to minor user-specific improvements.


    Position Summary:
    The Data Warehouse Architect will play a pivotal role in designing changes and improvements to our data warehouse.

    This role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure high-quality work and to meet the evolving demands of the business.


    Data Warehouse Design:

    • Develop and refine the data warehouse design using the Kimball methodology.
    • Design logical Change Data Capture (CDC) strategies to extract data from source systems.
    • Collaborate with the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process and data warehouse developers, providing them with detailed information to modify and enhance the data warehouse based on business requirements

    Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with report developers to ensure the data warehouse design optimizes reports generated within MicroStrategy and SSRS.
    • Participate in multi-developer projects, collaborating effectively with other team members

    Business Understanding:

    • Acquire an in-depth understanding of the business data structures to design solutions that align with business objectives and requirements.
    Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to data warehouse design, changes, and improvements.


    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Proven knowledge of database and data warehouse design, including expertise in the Kimball methodology.
    • Commercial experience in data warehouse implementation, preferably in a Cloud environment.
    • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
    • Experience working in a team-focused environment, delivering high-quality solutions.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and reactive environment, demonstrating a flexible and proactive approach to work.
    • A strong interest in understanding and maximizing the business value of data

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Relevant certifications in data warehousing, database design, or related areas are a plus
