DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY
The Bagging team are responsible for the bagging and boxing of chairs and beds and wrapping service items.

The Bagging team report directly to the Quality Control Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Bagging Single Chairs, Sofas and footstools
Boxing Chairs and loading on to lorries.
Bagging of bed parts
Keep stock checks on plastic rolls, and tape
Wrapping service items.
General house keeping
Visual check over for faults, damage and dirt, where applicable raise this with QC, QC Supervisor, Bed manager or Factory Manager
Bag all parts of the bed manufactured head/foot, side rails, drawers, cross rails and centre rails
Add 'L' brackets where applicable (all standard sides, none for legged or drawer beds).
Tape Screws to all cross rails
2'34 head/foot together, 4'66 separately due to manual handling restrictions
Build drawers and attach castors
Place in the designated area ready for despatch
Production paperwork to be collated and passed to Bed Production Manager each day
Flexible within the company and carry out other duties when required
Keep area clean and tidy at all times

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Good communication skills
Able to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Secondary school education

Hours of work
Monday to Thursday 6am - 2.30pm

Friday 6am - 12pm

Must be physically fit, hard working and reliable, overtime is available as and when required
