    Description

    MJM Industrial are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to work directly for a market-leading global operation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES



    The role will be assigned to the UK Engineering Parcels team to create the local for local knowledge and experience that currently does not exist. Initially the successful candidate would be assigned to support, FEDEX and DPD project in the UK and also to support bids for current ANPost and PAACK opportunities in the future.

    There will be significant customer liaison and on-site presence is required, so this is a role that cannot be done remotely, they will however being supported by and supporting the Voice engineering team. This is in line with RoUK&I strategy. Local resource required managing multiple parcel projects & sites.

    Your role will include:

    *

    Ensure that the mechanical system design is engineered following the relevant safety standards and CDM regulations (Perform detailed Risk Assessments etc)

    *

    Ensure that a detailed engineered system design can be manufactured within the valuable budget

    *

    Understand and Support Mechanical activity split-up and engineering planning

    *

    Coordination of third-party equipment supply and integration

    *

    Deliver Project related Layout packages, using AutoCAD/ESoT

    *

    File and Data Management

    *

    Responsible for the continuous improvement of yourself and of the processes/policies/procedures as well as learning continuously and developing professional potential and ability

    YOUR BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE



    It is essential you meet the following criteria to be successful when applying for this position:

    *

    Degree or equivalent level candiate with a relveant qualification in an engineering or relevant discipline

    *

    Good knowledge of design standards and safety requirements, working knowledge of the Machinery directive preffered

    *

    Willing to work in a multi-discilipe environemtn (Electrical, Mechanical/Software/Safety)

    *

    A structured individual with open apprioach to design and problem solving

    *

    Flexible in working hours and location
