Healthcare Assistant, RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT- Band 3

Who are we?

The Radiology Department at the Royal United Hospital, Bath offers state-of-the-art multimodality imaging to the local community.

Each year the department offers over 300,000 imaging examinations in the areas of Plain Film Radiography, Fluoroscopy, CT, PET-CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Interventional & Cardiac Radiology.

We are looking for a dedicated, friendly and self-motivated member of staff to join our existing team.

Experience working in a Radiology department would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist Radiologists, Radiology Nurses and Radiographers in providing high quality service.
  • Provide a high standard of patient care.
  • Carry out routine and additional/extended role duties, when trained and assessed as competent, as instructed by and under the supervision of the registered nurse in charge.
  • Contribute to patient assessment and ensure patient confidentiality is respected.
  • Monitor patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight.
