This newly created role reports to the Infrastructure Director.

The role is responsible for leading three departments:
Asset Management & Performance; Planning & Access; and Transport & Logistics.


The role undertakes a wide variety of responsibilities: It ensures safe access to Metro Infrastructure, for both Nexus Employees and Third-Party Contractors, from co-ordination of planning requests, through to delivery of access safety briefings and site supervision.

It leads on analysing and monitoring infrastructure asset performance data in order to drive continuous improvements and is an integral part of the asset management function of the directorate, as it assists in critical prioritisation of tasks, and sets and monitors key performance indicators, in collaboration with the four other Infrastructure Service Areas.


The role also leads on the centralised provision of essential road vehicle fleet to our front-line operational teams across the business and ensures our legislative compliance in this regard.

In addition, the logistical tasks associated with managing our internal stores are included within the remit of this role, overall providing a hugely varied and engaging opportunity within an organisation of significant regional importance.


It is essential the post holder has the required knowledge and experience but in addition, the successful person must be able to demonstrate values and behaviours that prioritise dignity and respect alongside promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within our workforce.
