Category Buyer (Capital Equipment, Stamping Dies) 38660

Pay Rate:
up to £33.73/hr Ltd Umbrella - inside IR35

Division:
Purchasing

Contract Position based at:
Gaydon with some travel to other sites as required

Position

This role has Global responsibility for procuring capital equipment across facilities worldwide, taking responsibility for sourcing, as well as associated contract management and supplier relationship management.

The role requires a high level of interactionwith internal stakeholders and external suppliers for stamping dies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Sourcing:

- responsible for Strategic Category Plan (SCP) creation and delivery; delivering sourcing in line with policy and to agreed targets; leading complex supplier negotiations etc.

Contract & Supplier Relationship Management - working with Stakeholders and Finance to operate the contract management governance; responsible for managing dispute resolution process; change management of the contracts and Purchase Ordersetc.

Needs to be flexible to travel to travel to other sites if needed.

Preferred:

Experience within an Automotive OEM or Supplier (Preferably stampings)
Category knowledge and demonstrated experience with Stamping Dies or BiW
Previous supplier experience within category
Technical understanding of automotive stampings and BiW assembly

Education

Relevant professional qualification
Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred

Additional Information:

THIS POSITION IS CONFIRMED INSIDE IR35
Hybrid working with Wednesday mandatory, other days may be required as/when required
