    Description

    Overview:

    Aputable Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in the vibrant borough of Ealing, London are looking forpassionate and dedicated GCSE English Teacher to join their team.

    As a GCSE English Teacher, you will inspire and motivate students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve success in their examinations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in GCSE English Language and Literature, catering to the diverse needs of students.
    • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic progress and personal development.
    • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
    • Develop individualized learning plans and interventions to meet the specific needs of students, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and behavioral difficulties.
    • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support and well-being.
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.
    • Contribute to the wider life of the school community through participation in extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
    • Specialism in English Language and Literature, with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes at GCSE level.
    • Experience working with young people who may exhibit challenging behavior or have additional educational needs.
    • Strong behavior management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
    • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
    • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community.
    • Willingness to undergo relevant safeguarding checks and training.

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
