IT Support Engineer

Northampton

Monday - Friday 37.5 hours + Saturday on rota basis

Up to £35,000 DOE
We are looking for an IT professional to join a family run business in central Northampton. Working across their IT helpdesk you will be responsible for assisting with both 1st and 2nd like support. This is a great opportunity for a forward-thinking individualto join a friendly and welcoming team.


Key Duties:


  • Efficient BAU Support by taking ownership of 1st and 2nd line support on all software, hardware, telephony and general infrastructure
  • Logging Incident / Service Request / Change / Problem tickets within ManageEngine and acting as the first point of call for actioning these, escalating to the IT Support Team Leader as required
  • Ensuring timely resolution of requests in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Working closely with the IT Support Team Leader to ensure all BAU support across the business is delivered
  • Assist the IT Support Team Leader with stock management to ensure equipment is always accounted for and any requirements for more equipment are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the integrity and security of the Company's IT systems are not compromised
  • Administering Active Directory / Office 365 / Telephone systems as required
  • Updating IT policies and documentation as appropriate
  • Proven experience working in an IT helpdesk environment, including 1st and 2nd line support
  • Can evidence examples of working complex tickets within SLAs
  • Experience in using a ticketing system (ManageEngine will be an advantage)
  • Experience of using and regularly updating knowledgebases when required
