    What you will be doing

    As a childcare manager, you will be responsible for the overall running of the nursery, including management, budgeting, marketing, safeguarding, quality assurance and compliance. You will also work closely with parents and carers to ensure that the nursery meets their expectations and needs.

    We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and offer a range of activities to support children's learning and development. We also have strong links with the local community and other agencies that support children and families.

    As part of your work, you will be required to keep detailed records of your work within the setting and follow EYFS standards and policies. You will need excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload and work to deadlines. You will be required to work within tight budgets.

    As part of your managerial role you will support your team in providing and overseeing activities and programs that sit within the EYFS to support children's development and provide them with the opportunity to socialise, explore safe and stimulating environments and to help our children develop and grow.

    You will be based in Blandford Children's Centre and will work as part of a multi-agency, team. You will work closely with your counterparts in Shaftesbury Children's Centre, where you may occasionally by asked to cover, (or support) to ensure adequate staffing across all three settings.

    About you

    You will have excellent communication skills, a strong vision and a passion for working with children. You'll also be self-motivated, enthusiastic and used to working in a fast-paced environment.

    You will be solution focused and self-motivated to supporting and developing your team. You will oversee the running of the Nursery – this means that you will be working flexibly in the week and over the holidays to ensure the setting has your full support.

    You will have a Level 3 Early Years and Childcare Qualification and at least 2 years of experience of leadership within an Early Years setting and delivery of EYFS.

    You will have Paediatric First Aid certificate as well as sound knowledge and experience on risk assessments and Health and Safety.

    Additional Information

    The position is subject to DBS and you will have a full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
