    The role

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Operations Manager to join our team in the UK and take ownership of the internal IT Infrastructure. As the IT Operations Manager for the UK business, you will be primarily focused on managing the UK IT assets and systems but also working closely with IT Teams in different regions to support global systems and teams.

    You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of the UK and Group level Infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in driving our transition to achieve ISO 27001 and enhancing our overall site reliability and security as well as maintaining high operational SLAs and SLOs.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Manage, schedule and optimize the teams workload taking into account service desk tickets and planned IT Projects to ensure the team delivers excellent levels of service to the business and can also deliver on business IT goals.
    • Manage and optimize the Office 365 application suite utilized by the wider Energy One Group, managing scalability, performance, security, and cost.
    • Manage and optimize the SaaS applications used by the Contigo and the wider Energy One Group including the Atlassian Product Suite (Jira, Jira ITSM, Confluence, BitBucket).
    • Manage and optimize the UK Network stack including multiple locations in the UK.
    • Ensure the network is available, performance and operational to allow the business to function 24x7.
    • Collaborate closely with global cross-functional teams working out of multiple countries to design and implement corporate IT systems across the wider Energy One Group.
    • Collaborate closely with the UK and other Group Business units to implement key tooling and systems.
    • Lead the adoption and integration of cloud-native and SaaS technologies. This includes evaluating, implementing, and managing cloud services and infrastructure to enhance the scalability, reliability, and security of our IT Assets.
    • Lead and mentor a team of Systems Administrator and Infrastructure engineers. You will provide guidance, support, and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture to ensure the successful execution of IT initiatives.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in IT. You will actively research and explore new tools, technologies, and methodologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement within our organisation.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role.
    • Advanced knowledge of Office 365 technologies including Exchange Online SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Defender.
    • Strong proficiency in Networking technologies (E.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper etc...)
    • Strong proficiency in Windows OS (Both workstation and server OS's).
    • Knowledge of administration of Linux distributions.
    • Proven track record in operating an IT Service Desk ensuring SLAs are met and work is allocated and completed in accordance with company targets.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on driving solutions in a timely manner.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and mentor a team towards achieving goals.
    • Relevant certifications such as Azure certifications, Office 365 certifications, or industry-specific certifications are advantageous.

    Optional Experience

    • Proficiency in Automation – PowerShell or Python
    • Knowledge of Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and cloud-based infrastructure.
    • Understanding of energy trading industry concepts and practices is a plus.
