    Description

    The University is, first and foremost, a diverse, inclusive, and supportive community of people – students, staff and alumni. We are looking to appoint a Communications Officer within the Student Communications team on Whiteknights campus.

    The Communications Officer plays a vital role in supporting the Communications team in our objective to keep students informed and updated with the latest news, important messaging and student life essentials from arrival day to graduation. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with a passion for digital communications and using accessible content to inform and educate large communities.

    The successful candidate will be a creative communications professional, confident with managing a complex communications schedule and delivering innovative and impactful digital content. You will be expected to design and write engaging and informative content for students including website copy, student articles, news pieces, social media and newsletters along with coordinating a team of student ambassadors to represent the student voice across our channels and in our communications.

    You will have previous experience of working in a comms or marketing setting. You will be organised, with excellent written communication skills and be proficient at working with a range of digital channels and communications platforms.

    You do not need to have experience of working in Higher Education or with students, but we are looking for someone with a passion to improve the student experience by creating engaging and informative content for this audience.
