    Green Orchard Recruitment have been engaged by a fantastic Mid-Devon based business to manage the recruitment of an Internal Sales Advisor to join them on a permanent basis.

    As an Internal Sales Advisor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure enhanced customer satisfaction, drive increased sales, and foster customer loyalty. You'll proactively identify and engage prospective business contacts, utilising consultative selling techniques to meet sales targets. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the customer database by updating records and cleansing dormant accounts.

    What you will be doing...

    • Execute the customer call list programme, maintaining and updating the customer database with pertinent information.
    • Collaborate within a designated 'business pod', managing accounts alongside the Business Development Manager.
    • Work closely with business partners to identify growth opportunities within the account base and achieve team targets.
    • Handle initial calls to smaller customers, escalating significant issues to the Internal Sales Supervisor.
    • Contribute to new business development and account growth through regular contact, promotion follow-ups, and marketing support.
    • Conduct research to gather relevant information on prospective business opportunities.
    • Analyse research findings to identify potential growth opportunities, forwarding recommendations for action.
    • Undertake necessary administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the Internal Sales department.
    • Identify and escalate priority issues or opportunities to the Internal Sales Supervisor and business partners.
    • Provide support to the Customer Service department as required, undergoing full training when necessary.

    About you...

    • Extensive experience in telephone sales, including outbound calls to both existing and new contacts.
    • Hands-on sales experience with proficiency in call centre systems and numerical data management.
    • Exceptional telephone manner and strong communication skills.
    • Familiarity with Customer Service principles and Microsoft programs.
    • Ability to interpret numerical data and maintain accurate reports and databases.
    • Demonstrated capability in building lasting customer relationships.
    • Previous experience in a similar role (Desirable).
    • Experience within a B2B sales environment (Desirable).

    Hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The business operates hybrid working, which will be available for this post once the initial onboarding and training process is complete.
