Polypipe Building Products are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Moulding Supervisor to join our team based at our Edlington site in DN12.


Role:
To ensure and maintain the organisation of all moulding activities concerning staff and production of our products.


Responsibilities:


  • Making sure all handling equipment checks are carried out daily and that each area has these supplied to it by the FLT/BT team
  • Promoting a culture which promotes continual improvement and the systematic elimination of waste.
  • That a Safe Working Environment prevails at all times
  • This relates to internal and external areas.
  • That the required quality standards set are maintained.
  • Supervision of all drivers within the Moulding department.
  • To perform a fully 'hands on role' in the Moulding department.
  • Ensure manpower is utilised to ensure optimum delivery of the production plan and the utilisation of available labour for each area.
  • To ensure housekeeping standards are adhered to and maintained.
  • To strive to achieve maximum possible O.E.E. figures at all times.
  • To maintain a safe working environment and adhere to this at all times.
  • To be the first point of contact for all Operators in the moulding department.

Requirements:


  • Experience of working in a Supervisory role
  • Experience of working in Moulding
  • Understand the planning and product priorities process (daily risk report)
  • Knowledge of product range to guarantee that products selected for packing are to the correct, visual and dimensional quality as defined on product internal specification information.
  • Knowledge of product labelling process to guarantee the correct labels are attach to appropriate product / stillage.
  • Experience of the transfer of data onto relevant systems.
  • Knowledge of H&S and Environmental requirements.
  • Knowledge of all departmental procedures.
  • Knowledge of Disciplinary procedure.

Hours of work:
Working Monday 3 shifts.

6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm / 10:00pm-6:00am


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:


  • Moulding: 1 year (preferred)
  • Supervisory: 1 year (preferred)
