Description

BioWatt are operators of anaerobic digestion/biogas plants which produce green electricity and renewable gas using organic matter from crops, food waste and other agricultural sources.

As part of a small team, the role involves taking responsibility for the reception and dispatch of all vehicles from a permitted waste site, as well as assisting the Site Manager with administration and purchasing requirements.

A typical day will consist of:

Checking waste transfer notes and paperwork for loads in and out
Ensuring loads match the paperwork
Handling paperwork for rejected loads
Operating the site weighbridge and recording loads
Ensuring all vehicles have been checked in before they enter site to tip
Assisting with recording supplies received on site
Communicating with the Operations Team to share knowledge and help problem solving

This is a full-time position which also includes availability for overtime if required. Initial contract term will be for 3 months.

The following skills and experience are preferred but not essential:

Experience of waste transfer notes and EWC waste codes
Use of weighbridge and recording software
Smartphone and app use

A full UK driving licence is required.
A company phone and GPS lone working device are provided.

An individual training plan will be provided.

£24,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
