    As part of the TUV family Risktec Resourcing have been tasked to assist our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) formerly ABB s UK technical engineering consultancy to source a Electrical Department Head on a permanent basis in their Billingham, UK Office.


    Design authority for all instrument & control and prepare, check and/or approve design calculations, specifications, data sheets, reports, scope of work and drawings to British/International Standards and Codes of Practice.

    Monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and client standards and provide specialist design input to 3D models.

    Prepare Technical Analysis of proposals provided by equipment manufacturers and contractors and interpret vendor and other discipline drawings/information.
    Attend and participate in safety reviews, risk reviews, planning reviews, model reviews and constructability reviews.
    Comply with Company Quality Manager Systems.
    Background in Heavy Engineering/Chemical/Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Industries preferred.
    Minimum of 10 years of instrument & control experience, preferably in oil & gas, chemicals and/or other high hazard process industries
    Ability to allocate work appropriately to design staff and monitor progress to meet project needs
    Ability to work in both design office and operating plant environments
    Expertise using MS office suite and some knowledge of AutoCAD
    Standard hours Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
