    Position: Commissioning Engineer

    Location: Chorley (Hybrid)

    Responsibilities:

    • Reviewing project technical documentation and contractual requirements.
    • Defining commissioning work packages and preparing relevant procedures with the assistance of discipline engineers.
    • Supervising commissioning field activities and ensuring safe execution through work permit procedures.
    • Coordinating activities of vendor representatives and subcontractors.
    • Conducting on-site testing equipment, implementing test procedures, diagnosing and repairing faults, and providing technical support.
    • Writing reports and documentation, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
    • Training maintenance and operative staff.
    • Working unsociable hours around project deadlines and traveling to remote or difficult-to-access sites as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical Physics, or Process Technology.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance, test, or service role within the Oil and Gas and/or petrochemical industry.
    • Knowledge of flow metering, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, valves, blowers, sampling systems, analyzers, Flow Computers, E&I wiring, and control panels.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
    • Willingness to travel worldwide (potentially 50% of the time after 2/3 years).
    • Commercial awareness, fluency in English, and strong presentation skills.
