This client is a leading Global Professional Practices firm.The Head of Audit has recently been appointed from an Asset Management Audit background and he is looking to build a team.
He has a couple of critical hires still to make and the most important is essentially his Deputy.This person will line manage the team and is responsible for overseeing delivery of the audit plan, attending various committees and deputising for the Head when required.
This person can come from any sector but must demonstrate the ability to line manage (even if they haven't currently done it), deal with difficult stakeholders, and work at both a strategic and operational level.
This is a truly global team so some albeit low travel (under 10%) can be expected, all short haul European trips except an annual trip for 2 or 3 weeks to Australia.
There is flexible hybrid working, with the expectation of working 50% in the office, with one day being an anchor day, where people are expected to attend.
Every other anchor day includes a team social/ drink.This is an exciting proposition, joining a team and working closely with the Head of Audit to build and develop an audit team.
The role would equip this person to become a Head of Audit either with this firm or another, in the future.
