Our client based in Milton Keynes are seeking a Statutory Reporting Manager to join them in a permanent position, based on skills and experience the salary will be up to £78k base + a car allowance of £6k + bonus. You must be ACA or ACCA qualified,have IFRS experience, Statutory Reporting experience, UK Listed business experience in regards to reporting and Accountancy Practice experience. Statutory Reporting Manager


We have an opportunity for a Statutory Reporting Manager to join us in the Finance Team within the CFO Division.

To be successful in this role you'll need to be a Self-starter, with good attention to detail, persistence, and the ability to organise and managework to strict deadlines.


As a team we are responsible for preparing the UK and US Annual Reports and Half-Yearly Financial Reports, as well as quarterly financial statements for the Group Holdings plc, UK plc and Financial Services plc, including coordinating the other departmentswho contribute to and review the documents, as well as the external auditors and legal advisors.


As our Statutory Reporting Manager, you'll provides accounting support for debt issuances and is responsible for co-ordinating the management judgements process, including reviewing papers on IFRS accounting judgements and preparing summary papers for Executiveand Board Committees.


The Team works closely with other teams, including Group Reporting, FP&A, Capital Reporting, Tax, Risk, Investor Relations and Legal & Corporate Governance, as well as the external auditors and legal counsel.


The difference you'll make:

  • Producing the UK Annual Reports, Half Yearly Financial Reports, and Q1/Q3 Interims with a focus on populating and reviewing the Financial Statements and Risk review, as well as reviewing other key disclosures, working with preparer teams to ensure thatall the data complies with IFRS and other UK and EU disclosure requirements, including Sustainability & Responsible Banking matters such as climate risk and ESG.
  • Producing the US Annual Reports on Form 20F and Half Yearly Financial Reports on Form 6K working with preparer teams to ensure that all the data complies with US SEC disclosure requirements, including Sustainability & Responsible Banking matters suchas climate risk and ESG.
  • Working closely with the Technical Accounting team and being able to interpret and implement updates and recommendations to regulatory requirements issued by FRC and DECL.
  • Reviewing the accuracy of the electronic linkages, mappings and other elements of the reporting platform used to prepare the statutory documents.
  • Reviewing the accounting management judgement papers on a quarterly basis.
  • Supporting the Funding team with debt issuances, including reviews of draft prospectuses, and negotiation of engagement, management representation and comfort letters with external auditors, legal counsel and underwriters

What you'll bring:

  • Strong experience of IFRS, as well as Sustainability & Responsible Banking matters including climate risk and ESG
  • Strong writing skills, suitable for inclusion in published documents. You'll also need to have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with other teams
It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Experience of financial services
  • Experience of the UK public company reporting environment
  • Experience of structured reporting, including inline extensible Business Reporting Language (iXBRL)
  • Experience of Wdesk reporting platform
