Blackpool Teaching Hospitals are looking for highly motivated and committed Band 5 Staff Nurses to work within the General Surgical Directorate. The Directorate includes Elective, Emergency General Surgery, Gastroenterology and Urology.

We currently have 2 full time (37.5 hours/week) for a permanent contract for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to work on Ward 2 Gastro .

We are looking for staff who are team players with good communication and who have a dedication in delivery quality care with a commitment in providing a high quality of care with its existing motivated and passionate team.

Main duties of the job We require enthusiastic individuals with a can do attitude who have the ability to work within our friendly ward teams. They must be as passionate as we are in getting things right first time every time. You will be working in a close knit team within a busy division and we will require you to be flexible in your hours of working to ensure that we can deliver a quality service.

The directorate has an excellent support system and would be an ideal opportunity for both newly qualified and experienced nurses to gain experience on Ward 15b..

Commitment to undertake ongoing in-service training and development is essential. You should be motivated, keen to learn and ready to embrace change. You will be given the opportunity to access further study to gain knowledge in your specialty alongside associated courses such as Student Nurse Mentorship and Dementia.
